Server All Releases Windows NT/2000

Hello All,

Im currently testing the v7 Sametime in our lab environment.
We have a sametime 2.5 server deployment globally & will be upgrading to domino 7 at the end of the year, so want to upgrade to ST7 aswell.

So that I dont do a big bang sametime upgrade ive been trying to get the 2.5 environment & cluster communicating as part of the community services (presence awareness and instant messaging) with the v7 ST on domino 7. (not fussed at this stage with the meeting services)

Does anybody know if the two servers will communicate successfully (ST 2.5<>7)? All my attempts have failed so far.
The servers work independently but do not share presence awareness,... i.e. I cannot see users logged onto the “other” server and visa versa.

1st Server:- Domino 5.0.9 with Sametime 2.5
2nd Server:- Domino 7 with Sametime 7.

Ive tried using the different ST version templates on the vpuserinfo db & stauthx db's clustered servers with no joy.

The domino directory setup seems to be correct as when I upgrade the 509 server to R7 and install ST7 everything works straight away.

FYI: ST2.5 has to run on 5.0.9

Anybody any ideas?

Many thanks for your time

Neil
